With over 20 years M&A and investing experience from Citigroup, Blackstone and FTSE 100 companies, he understands the importance of diligence and testing the assumptions for success painted by the startups. He writes the investment memos. Post investment, he attends board meetings and helps startups with their growth challenges and guides them towards the dream exit. When he’s not busy with his day job or with the mtrx portfolio, you might find him watching Spurs, on the tennis court or on the golf course. Kash has an MBA from INSEAD.

Investing is a long term mentality.

Kash and Matthew joined forces in 2016, combining Kash’s commercial rigour from the corporate finance world with Matthew’s powerful network in the startup scene. Following a number of successful startup investments, they formed a syndicate to open up their investment approach and pipeline to other investors who shared their values and approach.

They understand that for startups to achieve growth it is not straightforward - there are plenty of twists and turns along the way. The best startups will be led by a great team executing well navigating through those challenges, delivering a great product or service that is continually being improved and can be scaled. Understanding this takes time, and so they take a long term mentality in investing in and supporting their startups.

Investing is more of an art than a science but we aim to identify all the factors needed for success and seek to attain as much confidence as possible that the necessary ingredients are there in every investment we make.
